Westminster Public Schools is starting the 2025–26 school year with an infusion of fresh energy as 98 new teachers join classrooms across the district.

The new educators arrived a week before veteran teachers to take part in the New Teacher Orientation program designed to help them learn more about Westminster’s unique Competency Based System (CBS) of teaching and learning. The extra time provided opportunities not only for professional training but also for relationship building, ensuring that teachers feel supported and prepared before the first day of school.

Among the new faces is Rebecca Pyfrom who is joining the team at Mesa Elementary School. Originally from Washington state, Pyfrom made the move to Colorado in part because of her love of the great outdoors. “I wanted to be near the national parks,” she said. “A lot of good stuff in Colorado. The people are super cool and adventurous. Also, I am passionate about educating kids.”
